Yes. Spanly ingests OpenTelemetry-formatted MCP spans, and the SDK can export traces back to your existing APM via OTel so the same MCP trace appears in both systems.

Every JSON-RPC message is one packet: a request is one packet, its response is another, and each notification counts as one too. There is no separate charge per server, session, or seat.

Yes! Every plan includes 50,000 packets per month at no charge, and the Free plan never bills you: past the free allowance, ingestion is sampled at 10% until the next cycle. No credit card required.

Paid plans meter usage above the free allowance on one graduated ladder, identical on every plan: $5.00 per 100k packets up to 2.5M, $4.50 per 100k from 2.5M to 10M, $4.00 per 100k from 10M to 25M, $3.50 per 100k from 25M to 75M, and custom Enterprise pricing above 75M packets per month. Founding customers pay half these rates for 12 months.

Yes. Set a monthly spend cap on your organization and Spanly switches to sampled ingestion once projected usage charges reach it. Traffic through the MCP Gateway keeps flowing either way; a cap only ever affects what gets recorded, never your production traffic.

Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately, and billing is prorated. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing cycle.

Data retention depends on your plan: 30 days on Free, 90 days on Pro, and 12 months on Business. Enterprise plans offer custom retention periods.

Spanly notifies you when a new issue opens on one of your servers. Pro and Business can route those notifications to email, Slack incoming webhooks, and signed outbound webhooks, plus in-app notifications in the dashboard, with a minimum severity per channel so you only hear about what matters. Notification channels are not available on Free.

Yes — public dashboards are included on Pro and Business. Generate a read-only link from the environment settings, share it with stakeholders or customers, and revoke or expire it whenever you want. The Free plan does not include public dashboards; existing share links stop resolving if the organization downgrades to Free, and start working again on re-upgrade.
